Today's news broadcasts are about as informative as a GPS when wanting to locate your lost car keys. We might as well hash together Wikipedia, Digg, Twitter and Facebook as CNN.

Obama needs a bit of George W Bush in him

Obama needs to grow a pair if he ever wants to implement the "change" that got him elected. Throw out the hope in "The Audacity of Hope" and bring on the audacity to get your good ideas to work. Maybe Obama needs a lesson from the Gubernator.

Will the real Obama please stand up

Would you like a plastic bag with that Sir?

Is it me or is every store suddenly charging whatever rate they want for a plastic bag. Within the last 2 days I have gone from people asking me everything from 5c to 50c. Every time I was asked this (mind you with a scorn when I requested a bag while juggling a baby in one arm and some eggs and bread in another), they also suggested that they would give it to me for free as I am a good customer (obviously hoping I will come back for more moral reprimanding ).

I guess the point is that this way I get to re-use lesser plastic bags and I have to buy a big box of plastic bags for my organic waste and garbage. How this is supposed to reduce the use of plastic bags is beyond me. I guess the 5 cents that the stores make off my bag goes to their tip jar and they use the leftover bags from "green" customers to throw their own organic waste and garbage out.

P.S. If I can get into the arbitrary price charging club for plastic bags, do let me know. I have a few mouths to feed too :)
